![]() ![]() prior window & network drivers will drop wifi connection (so no internet) when connecting to miracast (wifi chip can only support one concurrent connection. For Windows, only Windows 10 PCs start w/ more robust support. Apple (iOS / OSX) devices don't support Miracast. Google for example has dropped Miracast support across its latest Nexus phones etc. Miracast is a bit of "hit and miss" from our experience and our customers' experience. We still use the Microsoft Wireless Display, it has been the best wireless solution we used, but this issue remains. ![]() If you go with wireless being the only option, you will probably see it. I may not have used the correct terms in this reply, but I did record this issue happen using Wi-Spy ![]() The fix is fairly easy, disconnect from display, disconnect from wifi, connect again, this will normally grab a different channel in the RF band for one of the 2, or both. It doesnt matter what vendor you go with, unless the wireless display option you pick allows you to control what channel is used you will see this issue at some point. Microsoft engineers recommended we turn of channelfly on our AP's, we decided against this for obvious reasons. Since there is no way to set the channel on the display adapter, this issue will probably happen at some point. (this may be for the Surface Pro, and not for all Windows 10 devices)Īlso, if you have a wireless access point in the area, (you probably do) you may have an issue with the wireless display adapter grabbing the same channel as the wireless network adapter. Most common issue is when Windows updates get processed, the connection to the TV will stutter, freeze, or even drop all together until you restart the device. They do work, but many times, especially for a non-IT person, there will be issue's. We use several of the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapters, mostly WIndows 10 Surface Pro 3 & 4's are used to connect. ![]()
